Intramural (house) basketball is typically for younger players who are looking to learn the game. For ages 5-6, we offer clinic basketball to introduce players to the game (practices and games are on Sundays). For ages 7-14, we offer intramural where players will play against others in Crofton. Practices are typically on Saturdays but may be during the week. Games are typically on Sundays, but may fall on Saturday nights. 

Winter County (travel) basketball is for those players who are more experienced and looking for a high level of competition. Age divisions are set by the County and are determined by a player’s age on 01 September 2025. For ages 8u – 14U, we will have evaluations during the month of October, and any player not making a CAC county team will be automatically moved to our intramural (house) program.   

For ages 15U-17U (HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS), you should still register to play CAC County basketball even if you are trying out for a HS team. Since our registrations are before High School tryouts, any player making a High School JV or Varsity team will get a FULL refund of their registration fee. In addition,  any player not making a county team will receive a full refund. If you wait to sign up until after HS tryouts or are done, we may not have any space available.

Winter County registration will be open from 9/1 and closes on 9/30. Tryouts and placements will occur during the month of October. Each County team will practice two nights a week at a gym in Crofton and games will be on Saturday or Sunday across Anne Arundel County. at a gym in Crofton and games will be on Saturday or Sunday across Anne Arundel County. Less experienced players should register for our INTRAMURAL program, which will open during the month of October.

Only players that have received a formal notification of being placed on a team from a coach and/or board member should continue with this registration. Please see www.clipperslc.com for a description of team fees.  Clippers encourages all players to participate in the fall tryouts as spring and rolling tryouts may not allow for payment plan opportunities. In general, no refunds will be permitted once a player has made the team, accepted the position and his deposit has cleared. If there is a very special circumstance, it will be evaluated by Board of Directors of Clippers Lacrosse Club for Boys.  Anne Arundel County imposes a $30 fee for all year-round outdoor sports participants this fee will be imposed and collected by CAC as an administrative fee at the time of registration for a Clippers team.
