Reduce Risk of Injury - Promote Health & Safety
- Never share water bottles or mouth guards
- Mouth guards drastically reduce mouth injuries
- No participation when sick or untreated skin infection
- Get adequate sleep
- Eat a balanced diet - don't skip breakfast
- Avoid fasting
- Drink plenty of water prior to and during activity
- Ensure coach is aware of special health needs
- Ensure equipment is well maintained and properly fitted
- Avoid exposed jewelry, watches, necklaces, etc. during practices & games
