Subject: CONFLICT OF INTEREST

I. STATEMENT OF POLICY

Unless otherwise directed by a simple majority vote of the CAC Board of Directors, no Board member, commissioner, or any person sitting in a purchasing capacity for the CAC, shall have any interest; business, monetary, for profit, or otherwise to the assets of the CAC, nor can they benefit monetarily from their association with the CAC. However, they may be reimbursed for their out of pocket expenses for services performed. Unethical activities, determined by a simple majority vote by the Board of Directors, will be cause for immediate dismissal and prompt legal action if needed.

CAC Board members or those who wish to become members shall be disqualified from serving on the Board: if in the course of serving on another board or coaching in another competing organization has a conflict of interest by making policy in the CAC that could benefit that, or another competing organization.

II. DISTRIBUTION

1. Distribution to all Crofton Athletic Council Board Members, Commissioners and Coaches.

2. Publication periodically in the Crofton Athletic Council newsletter.
